Welcome to Focus Up. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Data We Collect

To provide our core productivity features, we may collect the following:

  • Account Information. Email address (if you create an account or contact us for support).
  • Screen Time Data. To block apps and set limits, we use Apple’s Screen Time API. We do not see your specific browsing history or private messages.
  • Accountability Data. If you connect with an accountability partner, your unlock requests and app usage status (locked / unlocked) may be shared with that specific individual.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the information collected to:

  • Enable app-blocking and scheduling features.
  • Facilitate unlock requests between you and your chosen partners.
  • Send updates regarding the app (if you opted into our newsletter).
  • Respond to support requests when you contact us.

3. Third-Party Services

We do not sell your data. We may use third-party services (such as Apple’s internal tools, Firebase Hosting, and Firebase Cloud Functions) to operate the service, monitor crashes, and improve your experience. None of these services receive personal data beyond what is required to perform their function.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide the services of Focus Up. You may request data deletion at any time by contacting us. Account deletion removes your account record, partner connections, and unlock history.
